Take turns sharing tiny ideas in ways that work for each of you. Try two rounds for about ten minutes, or stop whenever you’re ready.

Your child: Let's try one tiny idea in a few different ways. You can talk, point, draw, act, whisper, or pass.

Your part: Make room for the idea. Respond to what was shared, not the volume, eye contact, speed, neatness, bravery, independence, or sharing method.

Pick one tiny idea together. Either person may change it, pass, or stop.

Show It Your Way

Pick one tiny idea together. The first player shares by speaking, pointing or choosing, drawing, building or acting, whispering, or passing. Respond once to the idea, then swap roles. The second player may use the same idea or a new one and the same sharing way or a different one. After both players have shared or passed, choose another round, save the idea, or stop.

Either player may change the idea, pass, or stop at any time. Pass needs no response or explanation. There is no score, timer, diagnosis, or saved response. For roughly ten minutes, plan two rounds, but stop sooner whenever either player is ready.
